Chennai will face a dangerous team, if they lose then it will be difficult to reach the playoffs

Chennai. A very strong match is expected in the first match of the double header in the Indian Premier League on Sunday. On one hand, after facing defeat from Gujarat Titans, Chennai will be the team for whom the match is do or die, while on the other hand, Rajasthan Royals are one step away from getting the playoff ticket. Chennai Super Kings will have to win at any cost in the match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday to strengthen their hopes of the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs.

The Super Kings team is currently at fourth place in the points table with 12 points in 12 matches. Due to the defeat against Gujarat Titans on Friday, additional pressure has increased on them and now they need to win both the remaining matches. On the other hand, Royals have 16 points and are in second place but their morale has fallen due to defeats against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals in the last two matches.

The biggest disappointment for Super Kings against Gujarat Titans came from top-order batsmen Ajinkya Rahane, Rachin Ravindra and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. These three batsmen would like to compensate for that against the Royals. The good performance of Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali was a positive aspect in this match for the Super Kings. The team will expect a big score from Shivam Dubey. As far as the bowling of Chennai Super Kings is concerned, Tushar Deshpande performed well in the last match while Shardul Thakur bowled economically but their other bowlers will have to improve their performance.

As far as the Royals are concerned, the team will leave no stone unturned to return to the path of victory. His concern is the lack of consistency in the performance of opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal. This opening batsman will try to return to his best form before the World Cup. Captain Sanju Samson is consistently performing well but he needs good support from Riyan Parag, Shubham Dubey and Rovman Powell.

Experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin had taken three wickets in the last match against Delhi Capitals and he will try to continue his performance. With the presence of Yuzvendra Chahal along with him, Rajasthan’s attack becomes stronger. However, in the fast bowling department, Avesh Khan was not able to perform impressively in the last match, which he would like to compensate for in this match.
