Box Office: Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Chandu Champion’ pales in front of ‘Munjya’, this is what it earned on the second day

Kartik Aaryan’s film ‘Chandu Champion’ released in theatres on June 14 and is getting a decent response. The film had a weak opening, but its earnings increased on the second day. ‘Chandu Champion’, based on the life of Paralympic gold medalist Muralikant Petkar, played his/her character and is garnering a lot of praise. On the other hand, ‘Munjya’ is also dominating the box office and is earning amazing money even after 9 days. ‘Munjya’ does not have any big star, but on the basis of strong content, it has been successful in pulling the audience to the theatres. The interesting thing is that ‘Munjya’ has collected almost the same amount on the 9th day as ‘Chandu Champion’ did on the second day. Let’s know how much both the films have collected. First of all, let’s talk about Chandu Champion. Made on a budget of Rs 100-140 crore, this film is directed by Kabir Khan. There were expectations of a tremendous opening from the film, but all of them were shattered. However, the film’s earnings showed an increase on the second day. For some time now, the box office has been dry. Big budget films with big stars like ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and ‘Maidaan’ flopped. Only Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Shrikant’ managed to stay afloat. And now the performance of ‘Chandu Champion’ is also disappointing.

‘Chandu Champion’ had an opening of Rs 4.75 crore on the first day and its earnings increased further on the second day. According to the report of Sacnilk, this Kartik Aryan starrer film earned Rs 6.75 crore on the second day and its occupancy was also good. In this way, the total collection of the film has become Rs 11.50 crore. Its occupancy increased to 8.26% in morning shows, 17.74% in afternoon shows and 34.81% in night shows.
