Star player retires after the match against ENG, has played WC for 2 countries

With this, Namibia’s star cricketer David Wiese announced his/her retirement. This was Namibia’s last match in the T20 World Cup 2024. The team has already been eliminated from the tournament after winning just one match in the tournament.

In his/her last match, David Wiese played an explosive innings of 27 runs off 12 balls. Scoring at a strike rate of 225, Wiese hit two fours and as many sixes in this match. Not only this, he/she also took one wicket in the match. In the year 2023, David Wiese returned to the IPL after seven years. David Wiese was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in the mini auction of IPL 2023 at a base price of Rs 1 crore. David Wiese, who returned to the IPL after 2016, is the first cricketer from Namibia to play in this tournament.
