Bihar School Closed: Heat wave in Bihar, schools closed again, read DM’s order here

School Closed Patna Bihar Latest News in Hindi: The country is suffering from heat and Bihar is also not untouched by it. Heat wave continues to wreak havoc in entire Bihar including the capital Patna. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of extreme heat and heatwave in the region. There is no relief for two more days. In view of this, schools have been closed due to heat wave keeping in mind the children. DM Patna Chief Kapil Ashok has issued an order in this regard.

School Closed: School closed till 19 June

In the order issued on Monday, 17 June, DM Patna IAS Shirsat Kapil Ashok wrote that ‘According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a situation of severe heat and heat wave in Patna district. Due to which there is a possibility of adverse effect on the health and life of the students studying.’

‘Therefore, I, Kapil Ashok IAS District Magistrate, Patna, under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973, ban educational activities up to class 8 in all government and private schools of Patna district. During this period, school teachers and non-teaching staff will remain present in the school and do their work. This order will be in force from 18 June 2024 to 19 June 2024.’

It is clear from the order that classes up to 8th in all the schools of Patna will remain closed till 19 June 2024. That is, children will have a holiday. But schools will remain open for teachers and other school staff. This holiday will not be for them.

According to the Meteorological Department, some relief from the heat is expected after June 19. Monsoon may arrive in Bihar from June 20.
