Election Results 2024 Live: Who will win in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, who will be defeated? Counting will start shortly

New Delhi: The time has come for the results of the last assembly elections of this year. The voting process in Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections was completed on November 20. According to the date predetermined by the Election Commission, the results will be declared after the counting of votes today, November 23. Voting was held on all 288 seats in Maharashtra while on all 81 seats in Jharkhand. Most of the exit poll results, which came after the end of voting on November 20, have shown the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leading over the Congress-led coalition INDIA in both the states of Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Some surveys showed opposite estimates in both the states, showing the Indi alliance leading over the NDA.

Along with the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, by-elections have also been held on different numbers of seats in a total of 15 states. These include nine seats in Uttar Pradesh, seven in Rajasthan, five in Assam, four in Bihar, four in Punjab, four in West Bengal, two in Madhya Pradesh, one in Gujarat as well as one seat in Chhattisgarh.

Apart from these, by-elections have also been held on Wayanad Lok Sabha seats in Kerala and Nanded Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi had won the Wayanad seat in Kerala. he/she had also won the election from Rae Bareli seat of Kerala and has retained this seat. As per the rule, she left the Wayanad seat and Rahul’s sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has tried her luck from there.

The results of the elections held on all these seats will also come today. Along with the assembly elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand, there is also a lot of discussion about the by-elections of Uttar Pradesh. It is being said that the assembly election results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand will have a direct impact on national politics. At the same time, the threat of by-elections in Uttar Pradesh will echo till the assembly elections of the state to be held in 2017.
