New Delhi: Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Usman was killed in Srinagar. This action took place in Khanyar area on Saturday. Usman had an AK-47 pistol and several hand grenades. Grenade attack in ‘Sunday Market’

A few hours after this incident, a grenade attack took place in the ‘Sunday Market’ of Srinagar in which 11 people were injured.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah described the attack as ‘extremely disturbing’. he/she said, ‘For the last few days, there are reports of attacks and encounters in some parts of the valley. The news of grenade attack on innocent shopkeepers in ‘Sunday Market’ in Srinagar is very disturbing. There can be no justification for targeting innocent civilians. The security system should make every possible effort to stop such attacks as soon as possible so that people can live their lives without any fear.
