How did ‘biscuits’ become the reason for the death of Lashkar-e-Taiba’s top commander Usman? Understand the strategy of security forces

New Delhi: Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Usman was killed in Srinagar. This action took place in Khanyar area on Saturday. Usman had an AK-47 pistol and several hand grenades. Usman was killed in an encounter with security forces. This encounter took place in the city after more than two years. This operation was jointly conducted by the local police and the Central Reserve Police Force. Stray dogs present at the site were a major challenge for the security forces, as their barking could alert the terrorist. To deal with this problem, search teams were given biscuits to calm the dogs. This operation reflects the alertness and bravery of the security forces. Grenade attack in ‘Sunday Market’

The encounter had started even before morning prayers when security forces surrounded 30 houses. Usman attacked the security forces with pistols and grenades. Usman was killed after an encounter that lasted for hours. Four security personnel have also been injured but their condition is said to be stable. A few hours after this incident, a grenade attack took place in the ‘Sunday Market’ of Srinagar in which 11 people were injured.

‘Extremely disturbing attack’

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah described the attack as ‘extremely disturbing’. he/she said, ‘For the last few days, there are reports of attacks and encounters in some parts of the valley. The news of grenade attack on innocent shopkeepers in ‘Sunday Market’ in Srinagar is very disturbing. There can be no justification for targeting innocent civilians. The security system should make every possible effort to stop such attacks as soon as possible so that people can live their lives without any fear.
