China avoided even mentioning the ‘agreement’ on LAC, only talked about ‘significant progress’, there is a flaw in the dragon’s heart!

New Delhi : India and China have reached an agreement to end the longest military standoff in recent times. After this, it got final approval from Prime Minister Modi and President Xi Jinping on Wednesday. This is because both the countries held a bilateral meeting in Kazan after a gap of five years. Also supported the agreement. According to the Indian side, this will further improve the situation on LAC. The special thing is that the word agreement was not mentioned in the statement given by China. From Dragon’s side it is being described as an important progress. However, considering China’s history, India needs to be cautious. It is possible that China may have a flaw in its heart.

50 minute meeting

However, as their next step, the two have agreed to hold Special Representatives talks on the India-China border question soon in their 50-minute meeting. This meeting has not taken place since 2019. Both countries underlined the need to advance relations from a strategic and long-term perspective, enhance strategic communication and seek cooperation to address developmental challenges.

No compromise… significant progress
However, China did not use the word agreement in its statement. The Chinese spokesperson only said that Modi and Xi appreciated the “significant progress” made through in-depth dialogue on relevant issues in the border areas. There was no joint statement on the border agreement or the Modi-Xi meeting. In his/her opening speech, Modi told Xi, we believe that the importance of India-China relations is not only for our people. Our relations are also important for global peace, stability and progress. he/she said he/she was looking forward to constructive talks with an open mind.

It is important for both sides to live up to their international responsibilities, set an example to promote the strength and unity of developing countries, and contribute to the promotion of multi-polarization and democracy in international relations.

China also mentioned mutual trust, mutual respect and mutual sensitivity. Regarding these, India has often said that they should be made the basis of bilateral relations. India has been saying for the last 5 years that relations can be normalized only through restoration of peace and stability on the border. Xi also told Modi that it is important for both sides to have greater dialogue and cooperation, properly handle differences and disagreements, and help fulfill each other’s development aspirations.

Not allowed to influence relationships
Xi also said at the meeting that ‘specific disagreements’ should not be allowed to affect overall relations. The agreement reached this week was related to Demchok and Depsang areas. These are the two friction points from where withdrawal of troops is not yet complete. According to the Indian statement, both sides agreed that both sides would meet soon to oversee the management of peace and stability in the border areas and to find a fair, reasonable and mutually acceptable solution to the boundary question.

It added that relevant dialogue mechanisms at the level of foreign ministers and other officials will also be used to stabilize and rebuild bilateral relations.
