I am not like Jimmy, who keeps playing till 40 years, said Mitchell Starc on retirement

New Delhi. Australia’s fast bowler, who is excited about the Border Gavaskar Trophy against the Indian cricket team, is close to playing 100 Tests. In such a situation, he/she is also being asked questions about retirement. Mitchell Starc clearly said that he/she has not thought about it right now but it is also certain that he/she will not play for England’s legendary Jimmy Anderson till the age of 40.

On being asked about retirement, Starc said- Test matches are still the most important thing for me but I think my body will play an important role in taking any decision. I am not like Jimmy who played till the age of 40. he/she had the amazing art of swinging the ball on both sides. I have never been such a bowler. There are many talented bowlers in our country to do this job. I am eagerly waiting for the next season, till now I have not put any expiry date on anything.

Starc is only 11 matches away from playing 100 Test matches and the left-arm fast bowler has no intention of retiring from the long format yet. he/she said, “Whenever I get a chance to wear the baggy green cap, it feels very special. Hopefully we will be able to win all five Test matches in the summer season. As far as playing 100 Test matches is concerned, it will definitely be very special. “

Starc will go to England for a limited overs series next month and after that he/she will play domestic cricket for New South Wales to prepare for the Border Gavaskar Trophy. he/she said, “Test cricket has always been a priority for me. We have to play seven Test matches in the next season. Five of these will be against India and two against Sri Lanka. These matches are a priority for us. We are all currently preparing for the series against India.”
