When Najam Naqvi offered Putlibai a role in his/her film, her happiness knew no bounds. She immediately agreed and came to Lahore from Aligarh. Here she started working in films. It is said that in those days the name of dacoit Putlibai was very famous, that is why the directors were not happy with this name. Then they changed Putlibai’s name to Shamim Ara. When Shamim Ara’s first film ‘Kunwari Beba’ was released, it flopped badly, but still she got a line of film offers. The reason for this was her beauty.

Shamim Ara’s sad life, first husband died

Many people were attracted to Shamim Ara’s beauty. Shamim Ara did many films in the coming times. In most of the films, her characters were full of sorrow and pain and that is why she was known as ‘Tragedy Queen’ in real life. Her real life was also full of tragedy. Shamim Ara had married four times, but not a single relationship lasted. Shamim Ara first married Sardar Rind, a rich landlord of Balochistan. But a few months after the marriage, he/she died in a car accident.

After some time, Shamim Ara married Abdul Majeed Karim, who was the son of the owner of the film company Agfa at that time. Relationship with fourth husband broke because of son

Shamim Ara then married writer Dabir-ul-Hasan for the fourth time. Everything was going well in this marriage, but trouble came when the fourth husband refused to send her to her son. Actually Shamim Ara’s son was studying abroad. When the son faced some problem, he/she wanted to call mother Shamim Ara to him/her. But the fourth husband refused and put a condition that she should either choose her son or her husband. Shamim Ara chose the son and went to her son against her husband. On this matter, the fourth husband ended the relationship with her.

Shamim Ara suffered a brain hemorrhage, her husband did not help her

Shamim Ara’s son was studying in the UK. When Shamim Ara reached there, her health deteriorated after a few days. She was immediately admitted to the hospital, where after examination, the doctors told that Shamim Ara had brain hemorrhage. When the fourth husband came to know about this, he/she refused to help her in any way. The son took his/her mother to London and also tried to meet her husband, but did not succeed.

Shamim Ara’s condition kept deteriorating day by day and then she died on 5 August 2016. When Shamim Ara breathed her last, she was in the hospital. It is said that the news of Shamim Ara’s death was conveyed to her husband, but he/she still did not come. In fact, no one came to attend Shamim Ara’s funeral. Then the son took out his/her mother’s funeral procession alone, crying. Tears were flowing from the eyes and the cruel world kept watching.
