Baloch National Conference enters 9th day, activists vow to resist Pakistani oppression

The ongoing protest by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) against the atrocities committed by Pakistani security forces on the Baloch people has entered the 9th day. The BYC said that the sit-in will continue until they get justice.

The BYC said the Baloch National Assembly in Gwadar has become a symbol of unity among members of the Baloch community. Despite facing severe repression, including killings and injuries of people, threats, arrests and violence, they remain steadfast in their demands for justice.

In a post on X, BYC said, “Today is the ninth day of sit-in protests in Gwadar. This continuous protest reflects the maturity and commitment of the Baloch people in their fight against state brutality and for the recognition of their rights.”

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has also organised additional sit-ins in Turbat, Panjgur, Quetta and Nushki against the state brutality and oppression of the Baloch National Assembly. These protests are amplifying the collective voice of the Baloch people and drawing more attention to their cause.

Further, BYC said, “Every day, as the sun rises, so are the faces of those who refuse to be silenced. The resilience and courage of the Baloch people is a powerful testament to their enduring spirit and tireless pursuit of justice. Their perseverance is a beacon of hope and a call for solidarity from all who believe in human rights and dignity.”

BYC also organised a memorial meeting in memory of those who lost their lives, highlighting the atrocities by Pakistani security forces.

BYC posted on X “Turbat: Hundreds of women, children and others lit candles to pay tribute to Baloch martyrs Razi Machi and vowed that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not be forgotten but will stand against oppression and suppression.”
