Pakistani Hindus undertake spiritual journey in Haridwar, immerse ancestors’ ashes in Ganga

A group of 223 Hindu pilgrims from Sindh province of Pakistan set out on a religious pilgrimage to India. Reaching Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar, he performed a solemn ceremony, immersing the ashes of his ancestors in the sacred waters of the river Ganges with traditional rituals.

For many years these pilgrims kept the ashes of their loved ones with them. Facilitated by special visas granted by the Indian government, these Pakistani pilgrims first visited various religious sites across India. His pilgrimage ended with a visit to the Ram temple in Ayodhya, a moment he considered incredibly auspicious. Today he fulfilled his duty by immersing the ashes of his ancestors in the holy water of Har Ki Paidi.

Speaking to ANI, one of the Pakistani pilgrims shared, “Our journey is for 25 days. We reached Haridwar yesterday with the ashes of our father.

Pilgrims expressed their difficulties in traveling from Pakistan to India and urged the Indian government to streamline the visa process. He stressed the importance of obtaining visas on time to make their pilgrimage easier.
