New Delhi : The matter of the results of Haryana Assembly elections has reached the door of the Election Commission. A 12-member Congress delegation met the Election Commission and complained about irregularities regarding EVMs. In this meeting, the Congress party clearly alleged irregularities in the EVMs and appealed for an investigation. Along with this, Congress has also raised the issue of matching of VVPAT.

Congress said that it has received complaints of electoral irregularities in 20 assembly seats, out of which 7 are in writing. Here the machines were showing 99 percent battery capacity, which is not normal. In such a situation, these machines should be sealed and kept safely and should be checked, so that transparency is maintained in the electoral process.

After meeting the Commission, senior leader Pawan Kheda said that the Election Commission was informed about 20 complaints, out of which seven complaints were received in writing, on the day of counting, some machines were showing 99 percent battery, while normal machines were showing 60 percent battery. -Shows only 70 percent capacity. In such a situation, Congress demanded that the machines about which complaints have been lodged should be sealed and kept safe until a complete investigation is done.

While talking to the media, Congress State President Udaybhan said that people suspect that EVMs are hacked because CM Saini himself had said that all the arrangements have been made and BJP is forming the government. Apart from this he/she said that this is a question of the credibility of the Election Commission. Bhupendra Singh Hooda, former CM and face of Congress’s campaign in Haryana, said that the result of Haryana is surprising because everyone felt that Congress would form the next government. Election Commission had written a letter to Kharge

Earlier on Wednesday, the Election Commission had written a letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. In this letter, the Commission had expressed concern over the statements given by Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Kheda on October 8. Both these leaders had described the Haryana election results as ‘unacceptable’. The Commission had said that such statements of Congress leaders are against the democratic tradition of the country. This is like dismissing public opinion. The Commission also said that elections in Jammu-Kashmir and Haryana are conducted according to the same rules and regulations in the entire country.
