‘Zorawar’ has come to give sleep to China, this tank will defeat the enemies in high mountains.

New Delhi: India is achieving major successes one after the other in the defense sector. In the same sequence, the indigenously manufactured Zorawar light tank is being tested in the high altitude areas of Ladakh. The tank’s firing has been successful in testing. This testing is expected to be completed by the end of this month. Zorawar tank will meet the need of increasing the mobility of the Indian Army. India has made this tank in response to the deployment of light tanks by China. DRDO and L&T are jointly making this tank. It is part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Trials of Zorawar are going on at Nyoma in Ladakh. In this, the firepower, mobility and safety of the tank were examined. After completion of testing, it will be given to the Indian Army for trials next year. The tank is part of an order of 59 tanks placed with DRDO and its private sector development and production partner. The Indian Army wants to increase its mobility and maneuverability in Ladakh. China has deployed a large number of light tanks. In response, the Army has sought to develop similar capabilities. The Defense Acquisition Council has recently approved this project.

The tank will move fast in high hilly areas

DRDO, in collaboration with L&T, is making a light tank weighing 25 tonnes. This tank can move fast in high mountainous areas. It also has a special security system. This system protects the tank from anti-tank guided missiles and projectiles. The army wants Zorawar to be able to walk in water also. With this, it can be deployed in riverine areas. This also includes Pangong Tso Lake in eastern Ladakh. Here the Indian Army has fought Chinese light tanks.

India’s strong answer to China

Zorawar tank is an important step for the Indian Army. This tank will increase the capability of the army in high altitude areas. This is a strong answer in the face of China’s growing military power. Being developed under ‘Make in India’, it will also boost the country’s defense production. This tank will prove to be an important asset of the Indian Army in future. Its test results are encouraging.
