Youth burst in Australia, Australian said – it will be surprising if he/she does not play

Sydney. Even before the start of the Test series against Australia, an Indian player has made headlines. While playing for India A, young Dhruv Jurel has impressed everyone with his/her batting against Australia A. Now the former captain of Australia is also talking about giving him/her a chance. Impressed by Dhruv Jurel’s technique on the bouncy pitch of Melbourne Cricket Ground, Tim Paine has talked about giving him/her a chance in the playing eleven.

Jurel played innings of 80 and 68 runs in the second ‘unofficial’ Test in Melbourne in the presence of Paine, who coached Australia ‘A’ in the recent series against India ‘A’. Paine said on ‘Sen Tesi’, “There is a boy who has kept wickets for India in some Test matches. his/her average in three tests is 63 and his/her name is Dhruv Jurel.

Jurel made his/her Test debut against England earlier this year. So far, he/she has played innings of 46, 90, 39 not out and 15 runs in three tests and his/her average with the bat is 63. However, since Rishabh Pant’s return to Team India, he/she has not got to play any match. Penn said, “I don’t know if you’ve seen him/her play or not.” After watching him/her bat on this tour and seeing the way India’s batting has been in the last few months, it would be surprising if he/she doesn’t play.

Pant is expected to play the role of wicketkeeper against Australia. Jurel, who was a part of the Indian team against New Zealand, has strengthened his/her claim for a place in the playing eleven by scoring two consecutive half-centuries in the four-day match. Paine said, “he/she is 23 years old and has played three Test matches. To be honest, he/she seemed more level than his/her teammates and he/she handled the pace and bounce well, which is unusual for an Indian player.
