New Delhi. After the end of the third test match against Australia, R Ashwin announced his/her retirement from international cricket. Ashwin shared the press conference with Rohit Sharma. During this, journalists asked Rohit questions about the role of Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and R Ashwin. Rohit was asked whether Pujara, Rahane and Ashwin are going to be seen in new roles, on this Rohit first started answering but immediately he/she realized that Pujara and Rahane have not announced their retirement yet. The Indian captain controlled himself and said that now only Ashwin has announced his/her retirement and not Pujara and Rahane. Rahane and Pujara are out of Team India due to poor form. Rohit said that the doors of Team India are open for him/her and he/she can return anytime.

When a reporter asked Rohit Sharma in the press conference whether Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Ashwin will now be seen in a different role. On this, Rohit started answering but suddenly he/she remembered that Pujara and Rahane have not retired. he/she laughingly said that only R Ashwin has announced his/her retirement. Rahane and Pujara are active now and they can return to Team India any time. All the doors of the Indian team are open for him/her.

When asked how it feels to be separated from his/her teammates one after another, Rohit said that coming and going of players is a part of the game and he/she is in touch with most of the players. According to Rohit Sharma, ‘We have played together so much that when he/she leaves, we miss him/her. We are always friends. We will not be together on tours but will keep meeting. Ajinkya lives in Mumbai so I keep meeting him/her. Pujara remains hidden in Rajkot so it is not possible to meet him/her that much. If Ashwin is also with you then we will keep getting it.

Rohit said, ‘Rahane has not retired (you will get killed man). You put me in trouble by asking such questions. Pujara has also not retired. Both of them can make a comeback. The Indian captain said in a joking tone – ‘You guys will get me killed.’ Actually, the Indian captain had earlier said that when he/she sees next to him/her, Rahane-Pujara will not be there. After remembering, Rohit corrected his/her mistake.
