‘You lost to our C team, Ireland and America…’ Who rubbed salt on Pakistan’s wounds

New Delhi. Be it life or sports… bragging always proves costly. Same happened with a Pakistani journalist when he/she targeted the New Zealand team. The Pakistani journalist also targeted IPL for New Zealand’s defeat. In response, former New Zealand cricketer Mitchell McClenaghan silenced Pakistan.

The New Zealand team had to face defeat at the hands of West Indies in the T20 World Cup. This has dealt a big blow to its hopes of reaching the Super-8. After New Zealand’s defeat, Pakistani journalist Imran Siddiqui wrote on social media, ‘This is what happens when you give importance to money over national duty. New Zealand had a good opportunity to prepare for the World Cup 2024 during the tour of Pakistan. But then its key players gave priority to the IPL and now they are almost out of the World Cup.’
