You can certainly ask, but do not argue… Amit Shah advised the journalist on the question about Manipur

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a press conference on the success of ‘100 days of Modi 3.0’. he/she remained silent on the Manipur violence and did not say anything on the resignation of the Chief Minister. Amit Shah said that the central government is in talks for peace in the state. he/she highlighted several achievements of the government, including ‘One Nation One Election’, Waqf Bill and farmer schemes. On Manipur violence, Amit Shah said that the central government is talking to both Meitei and Kuki communities. When he/she was asked about the resignation of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, he/she did not give a direct answer. he/she said that you can ask questions but do not debate.

Hope the situation returns to normal soon

Amit Shah said that there has been no major violent incident in Manipur for the last three days and he/she hopes that the situation will return to normal soon. he/she also pointed out that the root of the violence in Manipur is ethnic conflict and its solution will come only through dialogue between the two communities. he/she said that it was ethnic violence and no solution can be found until there is a dialogue between the two communities. The Home Minister said that the government is constantly talking to both the communities to maintain peace and a plan has been prepared to normalize the situation.

The Home Minister also informed about the steps being taken to stop infiltration from Myanmar, a major cause of violence in Manipur. he/she said that in the first 100 days of the third term of the Modi government, the work of fencing on the Myanmar-India border has been started. he/she said that the work of fencing up to 30 kilometers has been completed. Apart from this, the Government of India has approved funds for the work of fencing a total of 1,500 kilometers on the border.
