You are saluted! The same uniform, the same passion … Madhavan Pillai, partner of Netaji Subhash Chandra, celebrated his/her 100th birthday

New Delhi: Yudhveer Lieutenant Rangwami Madhavan Pillai, who was a partner of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the Indian National Army, has turned 99 years old. Pillai celebrated his/her 100th birthday by paying tribute to the soldiers at the Neshwal War Memorial in Delhi. he/she laid a wreath on the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Even at the age of 100, everyone will salute them after seeing Pillai’s enthusiasm towards their country and soldiers.

Tribute to the martyrs wearing INA uniform

R. Madhavan Pillai arrived in the National War Memorial, starting the 100th year of his/her life. The event was organized by the Indian Army, in which senior military officers and common people participated. Pillai arrived at War Memorial wearing his/her INA uniform. This is the uniform that all the companions of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose wore.

Who is R Madhavan Pillai?

R. Madhavan Pillai hails from Tamil Nadu. he/she was born on 13 March 1926 in Burma. Wrote studies in Burma itself. The family is survived by wife Savitri and eight children. Of these, six children took place in Burma while two children took place in Madras. Pillai came to Delhi in 1974. Pillai Netaji joined Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose during his/her youth. he/she took membership of Azad Hind Fauj and got involved in the independence of the country. Pillai was the person who collected a fund of 15 crores for Netaji at that time.

How to join Azad Hind Fauj?

Netaji Subhash Chandra’s Azad Hind Fauj was associated with India as well as people from abroad. Thousands of soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj made their sacrifice for the independence of the country. Pillai says that after hearing a speech of Netaji, he/she left Burma and came to India and started struggling for the independence of the country. This speech was given by Netaji in Singapore. In the speech, Netaji had said, “Freedom asks for your blood sacrifice, you will have to sacrifice everything at its door, for freedom, you have your life and your child, you have given everything so far, wealth, fame, furnace, arms, but the thirst of freedom does not extinguish the thirst of freedom, today I will need me to give you the hearts.

Azad Hind Fauj in 1943

Pillai said in an interview that he/she was working as a recruitment officer in the Indian Independent League (IIL) before joining Netaji. IIL was made by Ras Bihari Bose. Along with this, INA was also formed by Ras Bihari Bose, Mohan Singh and Fauji Vara (Japanese) in Singapore. After Netaji’s arrival in 1943, Ras Bihari gave his/her post to Netaji. he/she joined Azad Hind Fauj in 1943. Here he/she used to see all the office work. For this, he/she did not even take any salary.
