Hello… Welcome to this program of Yoga Diwas 2024. Today we all have gathered here to celebrate International Yoga Day. Every year on 21st June, International Yoga Day is celebrated not only in the whole country but also in many places in the world. In 2014, our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi proposed this in the United Nations General Assembly. The United Nations accepted this proposal and announced to celebrate 21st June as International Yoga Day all over the world. On 21 June 2015, Yoga was celebrated all over the world for the first time.

Why is Yoga Day celebrated?

Now the question arises that why do we celebrate Yoga Day? The purpose of International Yoga Day is to make people aware of the benefits of yoga and the thousands of benefits of yoga. The world has to be made aware of yoga. Along with this, to bring this heritage of India to the global stage.
