Yashasvi’s blast, broke Rohit Sharma’s record as soon as he/she came, Babar is at number six, Kohli is nowhere in sight

New Delhi. Yashasvi Jaiswal made a blast as soon as he/she came on the field on Wednesday. Yashasvi, who was forced to sit on the bench throughout the T20 World Cup, showed the same game for which he/she is known as soon as he/she came against Zimbabwe. Yashasvi Jaiswal gave India a fast start and during this he/she also broke a record of Rohit Sharma. Yashasvi played an innings of 36 runs in 27 balls in the match.

India defeated Zimbabwe by 23 runs in the third T20 match. Captain Shubman Gill scored the highest 66 runs for India in this match. Rituraj Gaikwad scored 49 and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 36 runs. With the help of all these, India scored 182 runs for 4 wickets. In response, the Zimbabwe team could only score 159 runs for 6 wickets. Washington Sundar, who took three wickets, was chosen as the Player of the Match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is playing for the Indian team after almost 4 months, may not have been able to convert his/her innings into a half-century, but he/she has made a big record in his/her name during this time. Yashasvi has become the highest run-scorer in the year 2024. he/she has scored 848 runs in all three formats this year. Before this match, Rohit Sharma was the highest run-scorer in 2024. he/she has scored 833 runs this year. Yashasvi has overtaken him/her and has come to the first position.

If we look at the list of batsmen who scored the most runs in the world in 2024, Yashasvi Jaiswal is at number one in that too. Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran (844) is at number two. After this, Kusal Mendis (833) and Rohit Sharma (833) are jointly at number three. Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz (773) is at number five in this list.

Indian legend Virat Kohli is not even in the top-10 of this list. The reason for this is that Kohli took a break from cricket after February due to personal reasons. After February, Kohli directly played in the T20 World Cup for the Indian team. Virat played a match-winning innings of 76 runs in the final of the T20 World Cup.
