Yashasvi will outweigh Australia in pink ball test too, claims coach

New DelhiSeeing the manner in which Yashasvi Jaiswal played big shots against Nathan Lyon and fast bowlers in the second innings on a big ground like Perth, the big question in the minds of all the cricket pundits was that how can a batsman play such big shots so cleanly. To understand this, News 18 had an exclusive conversation with Yashasvi Jaiswal’s coach. The coach claimed that Yashasvi will score two more centuries in this series.

In an exclusive conversation with News 18, he/she said that Australia will soon see a double century with the bat of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Coach Jwala Singh said that among the four centuries scored by Yashasvi in Test cricket, Perth’s innings was the best.

The secret of Jaiswal’s powerful sixes

Yashasvi Jaiswal surprised everyone by hitting a total of 34 sixes in Test cricket in the year 2024. When his/her coach was questioned on this subject, he/she said that while batting, he/she used to have a session to hit big hits and used to practice hitting around 200 sixes, paying special attention to body position, head stability and positive thinking. Practice was done, the result of which is in front of you. An opener hitting so many sixes also shows that apart from playing long, he/she has mastered hitting long shots. While talking to News 18, the coach laid special emphasis on the fact that among the current young players, Yashasvi stands far ahead of the rest.

The coach told the story

While talking to News 18, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s coach told an interesting story. When Yashasvi was 15 years old, he/she became Man of the Series in some tournament and got Rs 15,000. Yashvi then took a helmet and told the coach that the helmet was worth Rs 18 thousand and he/she needed Rs 3 thousand more. The coach then told Yashasvi that he/she has bought the helmet but will get it only when he/she becomes eligible for it. That helmet remained outside Yashasvi’s room for 3 years and when he/she was selected for Under 19, the coach gave him/her the helmet there. The gist of the story is that unless you appreciate the things that come easily. That is why in today’s times, Jaiswal is appreciating his/her place in the team and is also getting rewarded for it.

Sikandar of the series will become successful

When his/her coach was asked a question about the way Yashasvi got angry after being out for 161 runs in the Perth Test match, he/she told News 18 that Jaiswal has been taught since childhood that every second has value. Then, before the practice match in Canberra, Yashshvi sweated profusely first in the nets and then in the throw downs, which shows how much hunger he/she has to score runs on this tour. Regarding Yashasvi, who has reached number 2 in the rankings, his/her coach further said that he/she is a complete batsman and can score runs all around the wicket. Before every tour, Yashasvi first works on his/her mind set and then practices hard regarding the pitch and conditions of the country he/she has to visit. For this reason, he/she can score small goals and bat session after session.
