WPL 2025 Auction: The player who scored the fastest century in T20 was showered with money, returned home

New Delhi. West Indies star all-rounder Deandra Dottin has returned home in the Women’s Premier League. Dottin has been roped in by his/her franchise Gujarat Giants in the WPL 2025 auction. Dottin was released by Gujarat before the auction. The franchise added him/her in the auction by bidding Rs 1.7 crore. Diandra is the player to score the fastest century in women’s T20 cricket. he/she created a stir by scoring a century in 38 balls.

The base price of Deandra Dottin was 50 lakhs. 3 players had registered their names in this category. UP Warriors made the first bid for Dottin in the auction. In the first season, Gujarat Giants had controversially released this player. Gujarat Giants started the bidding for this player with Rs 85 lakh. There was a tough competition between Warriors and Giants to add Dottin to their team.

Right-handed batsman Deandra Dottin scored a century in T20 in 38 balls against South Africa in 2010. In that match, she returned to the pavilion after scoring unbeaten 112 runs on 45 balls. Dottin is also known for her explosive batting and deadly bowling. Dottin has recently returned to international cricket after breaking his/her retirement. he/she retired in the year 2022.
