The main objective of celebrating this day is to make people aware and motivated to eat vegetarian food. People often have misconceptions about eating vegetarian food. People feel that non-vegetarian diet is more rich in nutrients than vegetarian diet.
But, according to research, compared to people who consume non-vegetarian food, people who eat vegetarian food have 12 percent less risk of problems like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure.
