Works manager of Jabalpur’s Yantra India Limited demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, CBI registered an FIR

New Delhi: The CBI has registered a case against the works manager of Jabalpur-based defense production PSU Yantra India Limited (Grey Iron Foundry) for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the victim. In this case, the CBI team also raided the accused’s hideouts. The CBI said that the accused’s name is Gaurav Kushwaha. The CBI said that acting on the complaint received, an FIR was registered against the accused on September 25.Understand what the charges are
It is alleged that the Works Manager of Yantra India Limited, Jabalpur allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the victim’s son for signing the Work Completion Certificate. The bribe demand was made on May 18, 2023. The case was registered on the basis of communication from the Vigilance Director of Yantra India Limited, Nagpur regarding a complaint lodged by the owner of a Jabalpur-based private service agency against the Works Manager of Grey Iron Foundry, Jabalpur for allegedly demanding bribe.

CBI gave full details

The CBI further said that the said owner was allegedly given a contract to provide 12 firemen and six fire engine drivers to the grey iron foundry. In this case, in June 2023, the accused had alleged that he/she was not issued a work completion certificate. he/she had allegedly submitted bills worth Rs 16 lakh for April, May and June 2023. It is alleged that the accused works manager was deliberately not signing the work completion certificate and was allegedly demanding money to sign it. The accused demanded bribe from the complainant’s son on a WhatsApp call. Whose video was allegedly recorded. The CBI raided the house and office of the accused in Jabalpur on Thursday. Many documents were recovered from here. Investigation is going on in the case.
