Work is being done on a 3 level strategy for zero error exam, the committee received 37 thousand suggestions

New Delhi: The committee of the Union Education Ministry, which is preparing the roadmap for the Zero-Error exam, is working on a three-level strategy, which for the first time includes studying the best practices at the international level along with giving importance to every suggestion of Indian students and parents. Sources say that the committee is mapping all the exam centers of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and checking every step of various modes of examination (computer based test, pen and paper, hybrid mode). Keeping data security protocols as top priorities, the seven-member committee has also taken the help of experts from IIT Kanpur. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that it is the commitment of the central government to make the examination process 100 percent transparent, tamper free and Zero-error examination. This committee has been formed to fulfill this objective. The Education Minister is also constantly meeting the students and their suggestions are being taken seriously. NEET candidates are also meeting the Education Minister. The committee has received 30 thousand suggestions out of 37 thousand from students. Sources in the education ministry say that this committee is looking for overall possibilities up to 360 degrees to bring transparency in the examination system and confidence of students.

Three-level strategy
The high level committee has adopted a three-pronged strategy. In short-term measures, measures have been suggested to improve and bring transparency in the upcoming exam system. In medium-term measures, it has been decided how these exam reforms will be implemented on a large scale and in long-term challenges, operational reforms are to be implemented in NTA. The help of IIT Kanpur’s software engineering expert Professor Amey Karkare and high security and applied cryptography expert Professor Debapriya Roy is also being taken to implement multiple checks and balances and data security protocols. Sources say that the committee is closely looking at every step including paper setting, transfer of question paper to the exam center. What is the process of giving the paper in the exam center, where has the problem occurred in the current exam, how can the problem of leakage be eradicated from the root?

Best practice at international level
Sources say that best practices have been studied at international level for examinations conducted on a large scale. Opinion of UGC, National Medical Commission, National Board of Examination (Medical Sciences) has also been taken. Apart from this, in a meeting with multiple agencies conducting the exam, TCS, ION, NSEIT, it was understood what their practices are, what their best practices are, what are the security protocols, what are the shortcomings, how to overcome them?

A completely changed look of NTA will be seen
The process of preparing a blueprint for changes in the structure and functioning of NTA is going on very fast. Sources say that data security protocols will now change completely. There will also be major changes in the structure and functioning of NTA. All the exams conducted by NTA are being analyzed at macro and micro level. Many things have become clear on the blueprint of making NTA a world-class examination agency and data security protocols will prove to be the most important link. The committee will give its report on every pattern of the exam so that no matter in which mode the exam is conducted, the security and transparency of that exam remains supreme.
