Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was the only IT company that had announced its campus hiring target for the financial year 2025 last year. But now the workload in companies is increasing as the demand in some areas is increasing, in such a situation Wipro has planned bumper placements.

This new recruitment at Wipro is a positive sign. It not only shows the return of demand in the market but is also good news for fresh graduates who are looking for a job.

Saurabh Govil, CHRO, Wipro, said, “After a gap of one year, we have started hiring fresh graduates from campus. This quarter, we have added around 3,000 fresh graduates. We will hire around 10,000-12,000 people this fiscal year.”

Govil said that the company will fulfill all the job offers made in this financial year. he/she said, ‘We also have relations with some institutions. So we will go to all those campuses. We will also consider off-campus hiring for next year.’

Wipro’s CHRO Govil said the company wants to increase its employee base for the next financial year so that it is ready for growth. he/she said, “Our demand is increasing every quarter. We believe this is the right time when we should focus on the supply side, so that we are in a better position.”

Wipro’s delivery stood at 87.7 percent in Q1 FY25. This figure was 83.7 percent in Q1 FY24 and 86.9 percent in the previous quarter. Apart from this, attrition for the company was 14.1 percent.

Infosys also announced yesterday that it will hire 15,000-20,000 new graduates this year. This will be a mix of campus and off-campus hiring. Infosys has also announced its recruitment plans after six quarters.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a company bigger than Infosys by revenue, aims to hire 40,000 employees. In the first quarter, TCS hired 11,000 new graduates.
