Constitution Day will be celebrated in the Central Hall of Parliament
The Union Parliamentary Affairs Ministry said that the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution is being organized on 26 November. This program of Constitution Day will be held in the Central Hall of the Constitution House. In this session, there will be 19-9 meetings of both the houses while there will be no meetings of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha on 26 November. The government has prepared a list of 16 bills, including the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, for consideration in the session. Eight bills are pending in the Lok Sabha and two in the Rajya Sabha.
These bills will be discussed in Parliament
During the session, the Central Government will try to get many important bills passed by the Parliament. This includes the Banking Rules (Amendment) Bill and the Railways (Amendment) Bill which were introduced in the Lok Sabha in the last session but were not passed. The Indian Aircraft Bill will be introduced in the Rajya Sabha, which has received the approval of the Lok Sabha in the monsoon session. Many opposition parties including Congress may object to many important bills. In such a situation, it is certain that the winter session of Parliament will be a stormy one.
The results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand will also have an impact.
The results of the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand are also expected to have an impact on the Parliament session. The results in both the states have been announced on 23 November. The Bharatiya Janata Party led alliance has won a landslide victory in Maharashtra. The government will try to pass the necessary bills while keeping its agenda strongly forward. At the same time, in Jharkhand, the alliance led by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has got majority. This winter session of Parliament is going to start from November 25, just two days after the results of the assembly elections held in two states.
