Winter session of Parliament will run from 25th November to 20th December, One Nation-One Election Bill may be introduced.

New Delhi: The first winter session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin from November 25 and continue till December 20. Many important bills can be introduced in this session, including One Nation-One Election and Waqf Bill. The proposal to give full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir can also be passed in this session. The winter session is likely to be turbulent. Actually, the opposition parties are opposing One Nation-One Election and are not in favor of simultaneous elections in the country. On the other hand, the government has made its stand clear on this bill. Opposition parties may create ruckus in the House in protest against this bill. The winter session of Parliament will begin from November 25 and will continue till December 20. During this, ‘One Nation, One Election’ and ‘Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024’ are expected to be discussed. Home Minister Amit Shah has already said that the ‘Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024’ will be passed in the winter session. Many other important issues are also expected to be discussed during this session.

A joint session of Parliament can be held in the Central Hall of the Parliament House on 26th November, the 75th anniversary of the Constitution.
Apart from this, the JPC formed on the Waqf Bill can present its report in the winter session of the Parliament. The first monsoon session of the 18th Lok Sabha ran from 22 July to 9 August. Then 12 bills were introduced, out of which 4 bills were passed. These included Finance Bill 2024, Appropriation Bill 2024, Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill 2024 and Indian Bill.
