Window suddenly broke at a height of 17000 feet, pilot hung outside the plane for 20 minutes

You must have seen many accidents related to planes till date, sometimes they catch fire while flying, sometimes the reason for plane crash is said to be that a bird came in front and caused the plane to wobble, and sometimes people sitting inside get injured due to turbulence. Go, as was heard some time ago with Japan Airlines. But there is one incident which you will probably listen to and after seeing the pictures, you will not be able to believe your eyes.

The plane’s windscreen was broken
Yes, like a Hollywood movie scene, suddenly a windscreen of the plane gets uprooted amidst strong winds and the pilot gets pulled from his/her seat and hangs outside in the air. You might be surprised to hear this, but it is true. The incident occurred on June 10, 1990, aboard British Airways flight number 5390. The flight had taken off from Birmingham, England, to Málaga, Spain. Everything was fine, but after about 20 minutes there was a loud noise in the cockpit. At that time the windscreen was broken and the plane’s chief pilot, Captain Timothy Lancaster, went out the window.

The second pilot caught

The pilot would have been pulled out if crew member Nigel Ogden had not jumped in and grabbed his/her lower leg. You might be wondering, how did they hold the pilot? So let us tell you, he/she himself was stuck in the chair to maintain his/her balance, but those strong winds were also pulling him/her outside. The wind was so strong that all the things kept inside were blown out. While one pilot was holding a pilot hanging outside, two flight attendants present there were fixing things that had become loose. On the other hand, the pilot’s head continuously hit the deck, so people felt that he/she would not be able to survive.

The plane landed with difficulty The second pilot was also afraid that if he/she left the pilot hanging outside, he/she might collide with either the plane engine or the flight wing and in such a situation the balance of the plane might also get disturbed. Somehow, after 20 minutes the plane landed at Southampan Airport with broken windows. Lancaster was the first to be taken to medical emergency as soon as the plane landed. People thought him/her dead, but his/her courage saved him/her. Let us tell you, this accident is one of the most dangerous accidents in aviation history.
