Will there be changes in the rules of cricket? Bowlers will get benefit, what ICC member said

ICC media representative and former captain Shaun Pollock said that the ICC Cricket Council is working towards giving bowlers a little more freedom on wides.

New Delhi. Veteran South African cricketer and former captain Shaun Pollock said that the ICC Cricket Council is working towards giving a little more leeway to the bowlers on wides because according to the current rules, it is very strict for the bowlers. Especially when the batter moves here and there while batting. Shaun represents the media for the ICC.

Pollock told PTI, “I am part of the ICC cricket committee and we are considering bringing some more relaxations for bowlers on the wide ball. I think the rules regarding this are very strict towards bowlers. If a batsman moves in the last minute, it causes a slight change in the position of the bowler. In such a situation his/her rhythm gets disturbed.”

Champions Trophy: Not 12th January… now the team can be announced on this date, Yashasvi-Sundar may get a chance

Pollock said, “According to the current rules, if the batsman changes his/her position immediately before the bowler throws the ball, then the ball is given wide. I want a slight change in this rule. I want a bowler to know during the run-up when, why and what kind of ball he/she has to bowl.”

he/she further said, how can a bowler be expected to change his/her strategy at the last second while bowling? he/she should know in advance where he/she has to bowl. This is what we are discussing. There are many players in our team who have played in the IPL and are well aware of the conditions in the subcontinent.
