Will Team India deliver a winning ‘punch’ or will the ‘Bangla Tigers’ cause an upset?

Highlights

India has the upper hand against Bangladesh Rohit and company eye the semi-finals

New Delhi. The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma will take on Bangladesh on Saturday. India will want to strengthen its claim for the semi-finals by registering a win in its second match of the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2024. On the other hand, Bangladesh will be out of the race for the semi-finals with a defeat. India defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs in its first match of the Super 8, while Bangladesh was washed out by Australia in the first match of the Super 8. The Indian team will face Bangladesh in Antigua.

India has the upper hand in the record of both the teams against each other. But Bangladesh (IND vs BAN) is an expert in making upsets. And Team India is well aware of this. The strong contender for the title, the Indian team performed brilliantly in the first match of the Super Eight stage against Afghanistan. There is not much gap between the remaining two matches, so captain Rohit Sharma would be hoping that his/her star players return to form.

Surya’s brilliance and Bumrah’s deadly bowling, 5 heroes of India’s victory… who defeated the ‘Afghan fighters’

This is the Gujarati who has… As soon as Ishant said this, the bowler took a wicket on the very next ball, Sidhu burst out laughing

Kohli and Rohit are continuously failing
Virat Kohli and Rohit made a good start but have not been able to play a big innings yet. Left-handed batsman Shivam Dubey was kept in the team to hit sixes in the middle and death overs. But he/she has not lived up to the expectations so far. The form due to which he/she was given a place in the Indian team in the IPL has not been seen yet. he/she scored an unbeaten 31 runs in the group match against America but Suryakumar Yadav’s efforts helped India win. If he/she fails once again, the team management may decide to bring in Sanju Samson.

It feels good to see Pandya back in form
It was good to see Hardik Pandya returning to batting form in the match against Afghanistan. India can field the same combination in bowling. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav got his/her first chance against Afghanistan and he/she proved to be effective. India’s only goal in the West Indies is to win the title and a good performance against Bangladesh will be the next step in that regard as they will face Australia on June 24.

Bangladeshi batsmen disappointed
Bangladesh batsmen have disappointed so far. They will have to win at any cost to keep the hopes alive. They are missing power hitters in the team. The poor performance of openers Liton Das and Tanjid Khan has also increased their problems. The challenge before Bangladesh batsmen is to face Jasprit Bumrah who is in excellent form so far and his/her economy rate has been 3.46.
