Will Sonia Gandhi’s difficulty increase on comments against the President? BJP MPs gave notice of breach of privilege


New Delhi : Controversy over Sonia Gandhi’s comment on the President does not seem to stop. In this case, BJP MPs on Monday presented notice of breach of parliamentary privilege. The notice stated that Sonia Gandhi has mentioned the use of ‘derogatory and condemnable words’ against the President of India against the President of India. At the same time, the Rajya Sabha MP was accused of trying to ‘reduce the dignity’ of the country’s highest post.

Demand for action against Sonia

In the notice addressed to the Chairman of Rajya Sabha, BJP said that we are recently writing with great disappointment about some unparliamentary, derogatory and derogatory comments made by Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi against the Honorable President of India, who are serious Demand for thoughts and disciplinary action. No benefit of parliamentary privilege

The party clarified its intention behind sending the notice, saying that it is appropriate to say that Gandhi’s statements against the Hon’ble President cannot get the benefit of parliamentary privileges in any way. In addition, the Parliamentary Code of Conduct also determines that no member should speak derogatory words against others.
It is also written in the notice that its purpose is to make members aware of their conduct and responsibilities. This becomes important when it is related to the President of India and that too when it is talked about within the parliamentary complex.

Action under violation of etiquette

he/she then urged the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha to take cognizance of the matter and initiate proper disciplinary action against Sonia Gandhi. he/she said that such action is necessary not only to maintain the sanctity of parliamentary rules but also to strengthen the principles of etiquette and mutual respect, which are basic for effective functioning of our democratic institutions.

Notice also against Pappu Yadav

he/she requested that an exemplary action be initiated against Sonia Gandhi for violation of parliamentary privilege, morality and etiquette for this derogatory conduct. BJP MPs have also filed a notice against Independent MP and Congress supporter Pappu Yadav. Pappu Yadav is accused of commenting against the President of India with the intention of reducing the dignity of the highest position against the President of India through the use of derogatory and condemnable words.

Yadav raised controversy by commenting on President Draupadi Murmu and his/her address in Parliament on 31 January. he/she had said that the President is like a stamp. They just have to read a love letter…. The BJP was angry at this and demanded forgiveness.
