Will mixing this thing in milk and massaging the baby’s skin really clear the skin tone? Know the doctor’s opinion

In India, newborn babies are often massaged a few days after birth. Here it is believed that by using certain things in the massage, the baby’s skin color will become fair and the hair on his/her skin will also reduce. Gynecologist Tanya Gupta has also shared a similar video on her Instagram in which a woman is massaging her baby with bread and milk.

She thinks that by massaging with this, her child’s complexion will become fair and all the hair on the skin will also be removed. The doctor said that all this is a myth, in fact if you yourself rub milk and bread on your skin like this, you yourself will feel pain.

What will be the effect

The doctor said that when you rub bread on the child’s skin, it will cause pain to him/her. In the video itself, the child is seen crying a lot because of this. The doctor says that the child’s complexion never becomes fair by rubbing milk and bread, rather it depends on our genes, so do not do all these things with the child at all.

In an article published in Healthsite, Dr. Bhavi Modi of Mumbai’s Vridhi Homeopathy and Wellness Center has said that many Indian mothers think that massaging the child with oil every day will make his/her complexion fair but this is not true at all. The complexion depends on the genes of the child.

There is no way you can defeat nature and make your baby’s skin fair. This does not mean that you should completely avoid oil massage. Many experts believe that oil massage has no special significance in the early years of the baby, while some experts believe that it has a special significance of its own.

Oil massage can help increase blood circulation, improve muscle and bone health, keep the baby warm and help him/her sleep better. However, it should not be done solely for the purpose of whitening the baby’s skin, as it will not do any good, says Dr Modi. For the same reason, avoid using ubtan, talcum powder or fairness creams on your baby, as it may cause skin allergies.
