Will Iran’s oil reserves, airbase or missile silos be attacked? How much will the crisis deepen due to Israel’s retaliatory action?

New Delhi : Last year, on October 7, Hamas had attacked Israel. After this Israel started attacking Hamas which has now turned into a six front war for Israel. Tension has been increasing continuously in the Middle East since last one year. The crisis has deepened even further after Iran’s missile attack on Israel last week. Israel has not yet taken retaliatory action against Iran, but warnings are continuously coming from Israel.

Where will Israel attack?

America has suggested Israel not to attack Iran’s nuclear sites. America has also said that they do not know where Israel will attack. In such a situation, there are speculations whether Israel will attack Iran’s oil sites or target its ballistic missile silos and airbases. According to the report of the American agency, there are more than two dozen such sites in Iran where there are missile storage facilities and silos (missile launching sites). These are 500 meters below the ground. These are underground facilities.

According to the report, there are ballistic missile storage and silos in the Kenesht area which is about 150 kilometers away from Iraq. Fateh short range ballistic missile is deployed in this base. There is a second ballistic missile facility in the Kermanshah area. Here are the underground silos of Qiyam and Fateh ballistic missiles. About 25 such sites are mentioned in the reports of American agencies. Given the distance between Israel and Iran, missile attacks and air strikes may be the only options.

Therefore, just as Iran had targeted Israel’s airbase, Israel can also target Iran’s airbase to hamper Iran’s war capability. So that their air force faces difficulty in carrying out its operations. Iran has 17 airbases, including more than 10 fighter bases. Iran also has many small airfields. In view of the Israeli threat, Iran has also increased the security of its airbase.

The longer the war, the greater the loss

It is being repeatedly said from the Indian side that a solution should be found through dialogue while exercising restraint. It has also been said from Iran and Lebanon that India can talk to Israel and make Israel understand. The longer this war continues, India will also suffer losses. Unrest in the Middle East impacts India’s energy security and economic condition. Cargo ships have stopped coming through the Red Sea, which is the main line of global trade because it is not free from danger.

This is the shortest route for ships going to and from India to Europe and America. But for the last one year, shipping companies have been sending their ships via the Cape of Good Hope near Cape Town, Africa. This route is longer which adds an additional 10 days to the shipment and increases the cost. Due to prolongation of the war, many ambitious projects of India have also been put on hold. India’s participation in the Chabahar Port Project in Iran, the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) is aimed at providing direct access to Central Asia and Europe. But due to the war that has been going on for a year, it is getting delayed.

Israel showing items seized from Hamas

The Israeli Defense Forces issued a statement saying that it has been one year since the Hamas attack on Israel and a demonstration has been organized on this. It displays items seized from Hamas and equipment seized during the war in the Gaza Strip. This exhibition will run for a week.

This includes vehicles and equipment used by Hamas to infiltrate Israel on October 7 last year. This includes pickup trucks, motorcycles, tractors, uniforms, intelligence documents and their weapons, including anti-tank missiles, RPG rockets, explosives and UAVs of the Hamas organization.

Israeli forces alert from all sides

Can Hamas carry out more attacks on the anniversary of Hamas’s attack on Israel? Are all three H’s i.e. Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthi planning an attack together? The way Israel is fighting simultaneously on six fronts, the possibility of attack from any side cannot be ruled out. Israel has also strengthened its preparations for this. According to Israeli Defense Forces, additional security forces have been deployed near the Gaza Strip. The IDF’s Southern Command is ready for offensive and defensive operations.
