Will Harmanpreet be captained on farewell from the World Cup? Mithali said- time has come..

New Delhi. Indian women’s cricket team had a shameful farewell from the ICC T20 World Cup. Harmanpreet Kaur’s team, which set out with the dream of winning the tournament, was eliminated in the first round. Former Indian captain Mithali Raj has raised questions on the captaincy along with the game of the Indian team. he/she has clearly said that now the time has come that the command of the team should be given to a young person in place of Harmanpreet Kaur.

he/she also blamed the Indian team’s defeat in the ICC T20 World Cup on poor fielding and said that against Australia, apart from Jemimah Rodriguez and Radha Yadav, all the players disappointed in fielding. he/she said, “It was quite disappointing against Australia that apart from Jemima and Radha, no one was fielding well. Having only two good fielders among the team’s 11 players will not help. The team will also have to improve in terms of fitness.

The team captain will have to be changed

When asked about the change in the captaincy of the team, he/she said that if the selectors want to make changes in it then they should do so without wasting time because the next World Cup is very close. he/she advocated making a young player the captain. Mithali said, “If the selectors decide to make a change, I would like a young captain. This is the right time (for change). If you delay any longer, we will have another World Cup. If they are not doing it now, then they should think about doing it only after the next World Cup.

he/she said, “Smriti is there (has been vice-captain for a long time) but I think a player like Jemimah would be more suitable for captaincy. She is 24 years old and can lead the team for a longer time. She lives with positive energy on the field. She talks to everyone. I have been very impressed with her in this tournament.
