Will flood come again in Delhi?New Delhi: In the past, when the water level of Yamuna increased, flood-like situation was created in many areas of Delhi. Water had entered the corners. Leave aside the houses of the common man, water had reached even the houses of ministers and MLAs of the Delhi government. The most VIP area of the country was also reached in Lutyens. Delhi, which used to boast of being the capital of the country, was troubled because of the floods.
Flood situation again in Delhi
Although the situation improved a bit after 4-5 days, but now there are chances of flood water coming to Delhi once again. The water level of Yamuna has again gone above the danger mark. According to information, the water level of Yamuna crossed the danger mark at 4 pm on Sunday, which was recorded at 206.31 metres. The Delhi government is now announcing the evacuation of low-lying areas.
Earlier on July 16, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced to help the families affected by the floods. In a tweet, he/she said that many very poor families living on the banks of the Yamuna have suffered a lot. In some families, the entire household goods were washed away. Announcing this, the CM said that the government will give Rs 10,000 per family to every flood-affected family as financial assistance. Along with this, special camps will be organized for those whose papers like Aadhaar card etc. have been washed away. On the other hand, the children whose dress and books were washed away in this flood, will be given these by the schools.
