In the second match of ICC T20 World Cup 2024, the bowlers of the host Windies bowled well. Windies have a target of 137 runs. The game is stopped due to rain. While chasing, Windies have scored 8 runs for one wicket in 1.4 overs. After this the game was stopped due to rain. Windies did not have a good start and they lost the wicket of opener Johnson Charles at a total score of 8. Charles could not even open the account. When the game was stopped due to rain, Brandon King was present at the crease with 8 runs while Nicholas Pooran could not open the account even after 3 balls.

For Papua New Guinea, Sese Bau scored the highest 50 runs while captain Assad Wala returned to the pavilion after scoring 21 runs. PNG lost the captain’s wicket at a score of 34. Hiri Hiri was caught out by captain Rovman Powell on the ball of Gudakesh Moti. Hiri returned to the pavilion after scoring 2 runs. PNG lost its fifth wicket in the form of Charles Amini. Amini was caught by Russell at the hands of Puran at a personal score of 12. Sese Bau was out after scoring 50 runs. he/she hit 6 fours and a six in 43 balls. Alei Nao was run out by Joseph at a personal score of zero.
