Karnataka Assembly Elections 2023: Politics is intensifying in Karnataka regarding the upcoming assembly elections. Meanwhile, Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy has accused the RSS of conspiring to make Union minister Prahlad Joshi the chief minister.
HD Kumaraswamy says that RSS wants to make Prahlad Joshi the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. He also alleged that Prahlad Joshi does not have knowledge of the culture here and works to divide the society. He said that Joshi is not associated with the Brahmins of South India. He belongs to the sect of Brahmins who killed Gandhi.
Kumaraswamy’s controversial words
Kumaraswamy gave a controversial statement saying that Joshi does not belong to the Brahmin community that belongs to South Karnataka. He belongs to the sect which broke the idols of God in Peshawar. BJP has also retaliated regarding this statement. Karnataka State President Nalin Kumar Kateel said that such a statement does not suit the former chief minister.
Joshi is currently the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines and is a member of the Lok Sabha from Dharwad in Karnataka. In retort, Kateel said, ‘Kumaraswamy is worried that JD(S) will not be able to win even 20 seats in the assembly elections.

Assembly elections in Karnataka are expected to be held by May 2023 because The term of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly is going to end on 24 May 2023. The last assembly elections were held in May 2018.
