Varanasi: The decision of the court has come regarding the survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex. A Varanasi court in Uttar Pradesh on Friday accepted the demand of the Hindu side in the Maa Shringar Gauri-Gyanvapi Masjid case, located near Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and allowed archaeological and scientific survey of the entire Gyanvapi complex, except the Vajukhana. The Muslim side is not satisfied with this decision of the court and has said that it will go to the higher court against it. In this matter the Muslim side has its own arguments and the Hindu side has its own. Come, let us know in detail who has what to say.
The court accepted the demand of the Hindu side
Special advocate for Gyanvapi and Adi Vishweshwar cases Rajesh Mishra said that Varanasi District Judge AK Vishvesh on Friday gave a decision to conduct archaeological and scientific survey of the entire Gyanvapi complex except the Vajukhana. Mishra said that the court of AK Vishwesh has allowed the scientific survey of Gyanvapi mosque, accepting the demand of the Hindu side. he/she said the court has fixed August 4 as the next date of hearing. The court had on July 14 reserved the judgment for July 21 after hearing both the Hindu and Muslim sides.
The Muslim side is talking of taking the matter to the higher court.
‘The mosque may be damaged by the survey’The petition filed by the Hindu side in the case sought a direction to the ASI to conduct a survey of the Gyanvapi mosque complex. Advocate for the Muslim side, Mohd. Tauheed Khan said that he/she would move the higher court against the order. “This is not acceptable and we will move the higher court against it,” he/she said. This survey can cause damage to the mosque. Hindu side’s advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain had earlier argued that the Kashi Vishwanath Temple-Gyanvapi Masjid dispute could be resolved only by archaeological investigation of the entire mosque complex.
Hindu side’s advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain has said that the situation will be clear after the investigation.
‘Situation will be clear after investigation’Jain had said that the situation can be clear if the 3 domes of the Gyanvapi complex, the western wall of the complex and the entire complex are examined in a modern way. Last May, the Muslim side had registered its objection to a petition seeking a direction to the ASI to conduct a survey of the entire Gyanvapi mosque complex. On May 16, the district court of Varanasi allowed for hearing a petition requesting the ASI to conduct a survey of the entire premises of the Gyanvapi mosque, located next to the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
5 women had filed the petitionVishnu Shankar Jain had told, ‘We had placed before the court the demand for archaeological and scientific investigation of the entire Gyanvapi complex except Vajukhane.’ Accepting the demand, the court has given permission for the survey. In August 2021, 5 women filed a petition in the local court demanding the right to regular worship at Maa Shringar Gauri Sthal located inside the mosque premises. In April 2022, the court of the Civil Judge (Senior Division) ordered a survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid complex.
The women who filed the petition looked happy after the court’s decision.
Mahant Raju Das has expressed happinessThe survey was finally completed in May 2022 amid protests from the Muslim side. Meanwhile, the Hindu side claimed to have found ‘Shivling’ in the pond meant for ablutions inside the mosque premises, while the Muslim side called it a fountain. Mahant Raju Das of Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya expressed happiness over the order of the Varanasi court. he/she said, ‘A survey was also ordered in Ayodhya after which ‘milk of milk and water of water’ became. Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Ram Janmabhoomi, said that the saints are excited by the Varanasi court’s order.
