Who will become the next president of BJP? Know which names are in discussion, one is shocking

New Delhi: After the spectacular victory in Haryana and Maharashtra elections, the next big challenge before BJP will be to decide the new national president of the party. However, the efforts by BJP to select the new national president have intensified. According to media reports, continuous meetings are going on in the Delhi headquarters regarding the new national president. Many senior leaders including PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath are keeping an eye on these meetings.

Meanwhile, some names have emerged. According to party sources, only one of these names can take the responsibility of the new President of BJP. These names are- Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Dr. Saroj Pandey and Devendra Fadnavis. Sources said that these three names have emerged after the meeting between PM Modi, Amit Shah and RSS leaders to decide the name of BJP President. Only one among Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Devendra Fadnavis and Dr. Saroj Pandey will be made the president.

Why are these names in discussion?

Political experts say that Shivraj Singh Chauhan is a veteran leader of BJP. he/she has a good reputation within the party. In this situation, he/she is a strong contender. On the other hand, Devendra Fadnavis is the young face of BJP. After the victory in Maharashtra, BJP is also mulling over handing over the responsibility of national president to Fadnavis. Fadnavis is also considered close to PM Modi and Amit Shah. At the same time, this time BJP can take a shocking decision and appoint a strong woman leader of BJP, Dr. Saroj Pandey on the post of President. On the other hand, there is also discussion in the political circles that the new president of BJP may be from South India, because at present there is no leader from South India on any of the important posts of BJP.

Nadda’s tenure was extended for Lok Sabha elections

The tenure of current BJP President JP Nadda was extended till June in view of the Lok Sabha elections. his/her tenure was ending in January this year. Before selecting the new president in BJP, organization election is necessary, which usually takes 6 months. Therefore, the tenure of current President JP Nadda was extended by 6 months.
