Who will become the boss of 2024? 3 Indian batsmen are taking on the British alone, no one else is in the race

New Delhi. The year 2024 is now counting its last breaths. After just 20 days the world will be welcoming the New Year. Along with making plans for the new year, the world is also checking the accounts of the past year. The cricket world is also watching who will be the boss of 2024. However, in the world of cricket it is difficult to decide on one boss. In this three-format game, not only the bosses will be decided in terms of teams, but personal records also matter. Like at present many teams of the world are busy playing test series. So first of all let’s talk about the batsman who scored the most runs in Test cricket.

England’s Joe Root is leading in the race to score the most runs in Test cricket in the year 2024. Joe Root has scored 1470 runs in 16 tests this year at an average of 56.53. India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal is giving him/her a tough competition. Yashasvi is second in the list of batsmen who have scored the most runs in Test cricket in 2024. Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored 1304 runs in 13 tests at an average of 54.33.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is trailing Joe Root by 166 runs, but he/she has the advantage of one thing. England now has to play only one Test match in 2024. India still has to play two test matches this year. Yashasvi Jaiswal can take advantage of this.

In the year 2024, only five batsmen have scored more than 1,000 runs. Apart from Joe Root, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook and Kamindu Mendis are included. Sri Lanka does not have to play any test match this year. That means Kamindu Mendis will not be able to go beyond his/her 1049 runs in 2024.

England’s Ben Duckett has scored 1134 runs in 16 tests this year. Similarly, Harry Brook has scored 1099 runs in 11 tests. Both these players are far behind Joe Root, but not far from Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, Jaiswal can be left behind by Ben Duckett or Harry Brook only if they score a double century and the Indian batsman fails miserably.
