Who is Amir Tamim bin al-Thani?

Tamim bin al-Thani was born on 3 June 1980 in Doha, the capital of Qatar. he/she received his/her early education in Qatar and went to Britain for higher education. After completing his/her education from Britain, he/she also served in Qatar’s army. he/she was appointed Crown Prince in 2003. After this, in 2009, he/she got the post of Deputy Commander In -Chief in the Army. Tamim is deeply interested in sports. he/she played an important role in the successful organization of the Asian Games held in Qatar in 2006. The event gave him/her a global identity. Another example of his/her leadership ability was a successful event of 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Tamim bin al-Thani, at the age of 44, is the youngest rich in Qatar, as well as one of the youngest heads of the world. They have done three marriages and have 13 children. During his/her reign, Qatar has played an important role in sports and international events, but has also seen many ups and downs in regional politics. Tamim’s leadership ability will be important for Qatar’s economic and political future. Father made ‘rich’

In June 2013, his/her father Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Tani voluntarily renounced the post of Amir and Tamim was made the new rich of Qatar. This strength change was expected, but at that time the leaders of Arab countries were contrary to the tradition of continuing their lifetime. This was a significant change. At the beginning of Tamim’s reign, Qatar’s relationship with some neighboring countries soured. In 2014, some neighboring countries summoned their ambassadors from Qatar. The situation worsened when Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain broke diplomatic relations with Qatar and imposed economic sanctions in 2017.

Al-Thani has come on a tour of India for the second time

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met him/her on Monday evening. On Tuesday morning, the rich of Qatar will be formally welcomed in the premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan, after which he/she will have a meeting with Prime Minister Modi in ‘Hyderabad House’. The Ministry of External Affairs told that Al-Thani has visited India on the invitation of Prime Minister Modi. This is the second visit to India of Qatar. Earlier, he/she came to India in March 2015. India and Qatar have deep historical relations based on friendship, faith and mutual honors. In recent years between the two countries, relations in various fields including trade, investment, energy, technology, culture have been continuously strengthened.
