New Delhi. An old Sri Lankan spinner made the Indian batsmen’s condition worse in the second ODI. The Indian team was scoring runs at a run rate of more than 7 at one point. The Indian team which had scored 95 runs in 13 overs without losing any wicket, was hit by Jeffrey Vandersay in such a way that the Rohit brigade groaned. There was such a fall of wickets that India’s score went from 97 runs to 150 runs for 6 wickets.

The second ODI match between India and Sri Lanka was played on Sunday. Sri Lanka batted first and scored 240 runs for 9 wickets. In reply, India was all out for 208 runs in 42.2 overs. India will have to win this match at any cost to level the series.

34-year-old Jeffrey Vandersay is a leg spinner. he/she has never been able to make a regular place in the Sri Lankan cricket team. Vandersay, who made his/her debut in 2015, has played a total of 22 ODIs and 14 T20 matches for Sri Lanka so far. he/she made his/her Test debut in 2022 and is still waiting to play his/her second Test.
