New Delhi. Gujarat’s 18-year-old teenager Dron Desai has created a stir in the cricket world with his/her explosive batting. Playing for St. Xavier’s (Loyola), this youngster registered his/her name in the record books by scoring 498 runs against JL English School in the Diwan Ballubhai Cup Under-19 Multi-Day Tournament. he/she created a new record by hitting 86 fours in the tournament organized by the Central Cricket Board Ahmedabad under the Gujarat Cricket Association. Dron is the sixth batsman from India to score more than 400 runs in a single innings in Under-19 cricket.

Drona Desai, playing for St. Xavier’s School in the Diwan Ballubhai Cup Under-19 Multi-Day Tournament, thrashed the bowlers of JL English School. he/she scored 498 runs in 320 balls, hitting 7 sixes and 86 fours. Due to this innings, Drona’s team won the match by an innings and 712 runs.

Sixth Indian to score more than 400 runs

Dron Desai is the sixth Indian in Under 19 cricket to score more than 400 runs in a single match. The record for playing the biggest innings is registered in the name of Pranav Dhanawade of Mumbai. This batsman played an unbeaten innings of 1009 runs. Prithvi Shaw of Mumbai is in second place with an innings of 546 runs. Dron has now joined the prestigious list of young cricketers who have broken records including Havewala (515), Chamanlal (506*) and Armaan Jaffer (498).

Who is Drona Desai?
Dron Desai, who belongs to Gujarat, is 18 years old. This batsman started playing cricket at the age of just 7 years. Currently, Dron is in the news for playing an innings of 498 runs in Under 19 cricket. This youth, who considers Sachin Tendulkar as his/her idol, represented the state at the Under-14 level. After this, he/she left his/her mark in Under 19 cricket. Dron, who plays for St. Xavier’s (Loyola) School, wants to make a place in the Under-19 team of Gujarat. This batsman is currently taking coaching from Jaiprakash Patel.
