New Delhi. Singapore’s young leg-spinner Harsh Bhardwaj has registered a big achievement in T20 International cricket. Harsh conceded just 3 runs in 4 overs in the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier A match against Mongolia and sent 6 players to the pavilion. This is the second-best bowling performance by a bowler in Men’s T20 International cricket. During this, he/she broke the record of Nigeria’s Peter Aho who took 6 wickets for 5 runs against Sierra Leone in 2021. Malaysian bowlers top this list. Syazrul Idrus took 7 wickets for 8 runs in the 2024 T20 World Cup Asia B Qualifier match against China.

17-year-old Harsha Bhardwaj took two wickets twice in his/her very first over. Mongolia lost 6 wickets in the powerplay, out of which 5 wickets were Harsha’s. Mongolia’s team collapsed for just 10 runs in 10 overs. Five of its batsmen could not even open their account while no batsman could even touch the double-digit mark. Five of its batsmen were out on zero, while four batsmen scored one run each while two batsmen contributed two runs each. Harsha Bhardwaj was born on 15 May 2007. he/she has taken 12 wickets in 10 T20 International matches.

Apart from Harsh, Akshay Puri took two wickets from Singapore while Rahul and Ramesh took one wicket each.

Chasing the target of 11 runs, the Singapore team won in just 5 balls. It achieved this target at the loss of one wicket. Earlier also, the Mongolian team was all out for just 17 runs in this tournament. It scored 17 runs in 14.3 overs against Hong Kong. In that match too, the Indian-origin bowler did wonders. Ayush Shukla bowled all his/her four overs maiden against Mongolia and also took one wicket.
