New Delhi. Sri Lanka’s young batsman Kamindu Mendis is dominating Test cricket. Since his/her debut, this left handed batsman has been continuously scoring runs with the bat. Mendis equaled the record of legendary Don Bradman by scoring a brilliant century in the second Test match being played against New Zealand in Galle. A day earlier, he/she had created a world record by scoring 50 plus in 8 consecutive Test matches since his/her debut, which had not happened before in the 147 years of Test history. Kamindu Mendis, born on September 30, 1998 in Galle, made his/her Test debut in July 2022 against Australia at his/her home ground Galle. By scoring 61 runs in the first innings of this test match, he/she had shown that his/her time was coming. In this Test match, Sri Lanka did not bat in the second innings. Host Sri Lanka had won this Test by an innings and 39 runs. After this he/she did not look back and he/she is continuously making records one after the other.

25 year old Kamindu Mendis is a left handed batsman. he/she bowls spin with both right and left hands.
