Who is Pappu in Indian cricket, played first class, did not get a place in Team India


New Delhi. Bihar and Jharkhand have given many stars to the Indian cricket team. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is counted among the greatest captains of the world. Following his/her footsteps, Jharkhand’s young Ishan Kishan captained the team in the Under-19 World Cup and took India to the finals. These days his/her name is often discussed but we are going to talk about a wicketkeeper from Jharkhand about whom very few people know. Pappu Singh who played first class and T20 but his/her performance was not such that he/she got a place in the Indian team.

A wicketkeeper from Jharkhand about whom little has been heard. Pappu Singh was born on 27 September 1993 in Ranchi. Now it is a part of Jharkhand but then it used to be in Bihar. Pappu Singh, who did wicketkeeping for Mahendra Singh Dhoni, played for Jharkhand Under 19 team. After this he/she also got a chance to play first class cricket. This wicketkeeper failed to take advantage of the opportunity he/she got and became anonymous. Even in domestic cricket, he/she did not get much opportunity.

Pappu Kumar Singh made his/her first class debut for Jharkhand in November 2013. In the match played against Odisha, he/she had only 3 runs in his/her account in the first innings. In the second innings, he/she played a brilliant inning of 61 runs with the help of 9 fours after playing 193 balls. Only two half-centuries were scored in this innings, one of which was in the name of Pappu Kumar. Odisha won the match by 9 wickets.

Pappu Kumar Singh last played first class against Punjab in January 2014. he/she could not even open his/her account in the first innings of this match. Forced to play follow on, Pappu had scored only 1 run in the second innings for Jharkhand. The only T20 he/she played for Railways was against Rajasthan. Pappu had only 9 runs in his/her name in this match.
