[ad_1] New Delhi: The Indian Army has warned that those who use the army's uniform and medals without permission can be punished. The army is upset that people across the country are repeatedly using its clothes and symbols of honor without permission. The army says that legal action can also be taken against those who reduce the honor of the army's uniform and medals by doing so. A senior army officer told the Times of India on Friday that the Army Headquarters takes such cases very seriously.Noida's management company was reprimandedRecently, a Noida-based event management company was also warned for the same reason. An employee of that company was seen wearing army medals at an event, which was widely discussed on social media. The officer said that after the army threatened to file an FIR, the company has apologized. They have also assured that they will not repeat such a mistake in future.Earlier, the Army had also initiated necessary action against a retired Lieutenant Colonel. This Lieutenant Colonel appeared in a YouTube podcast with the rank of Colonel. Action was taken against him/her under Section 140 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). This section is related to the violation of Para 666 of the Army Act (Amendment) 2010. If the crime is proved under this section, there can be imprisonment up to three months or fine, or both. This punishment can be given to a person who wears a uniform or keeps any such symbol with the intention of pretending to be a soldier, sailor or airman. The Army Headquarters is currently investigating the Lieutenant Colonel's argument that this happened by mistake.Action will be taken on use without permissionAn army officer said that the army and military intelligence department, along with the police, are conducting raids and taking action against those selling the army's new special camouflage uniform without permission in many states like Maharashtra and Rajasthan. This new uniform is light, strong and weather-friendly and has been specially designed. The army says that the design of this uniform is their intellectual property right (IPR). This means that anyone who has not been given the right to make it by the army cannot make or sell it. In such a situation, action is being taken against those who are making or selling this uniform without permission. There is also a suspicion of a terrorist attackThe officer said that if someone misuses this uniform, he/she can launch a terrorist attack or enter closed areas with its help. The Defense Ministry and the Army are repeatedly telling all government departments and states not to make their uniformed employees wear camouflage uniforms like the Army. This can lead to the misunderstanding that the Army has been deployed for crowd control or law and order. Another officer said that some private security companies also try to copy the Army uniform. This is absolutely wrong. [ad_2]
