How much will the pension increase?

President Joe Biden said, “Those who have worked hard all their lives deserve to retire with dignity and economic security.” he/she said this while signing the law at the White House. With this new law, the monthly pension of more than 25 lakh retired people will increase by an average of $ 360. Those whose payments were reduced earlier will also get their dues from December 2023 onwards. This is a big change that is going to positively impact the lives of millions of people.

‘The Social Security Fairness Act has also brought great relief to those widows and widowers whose benefits were reduced after the death of their spouses. Now their allowance will also increase. Some households could see their monthly payments increase by an average of $1,190 by 2025. This law is also a major victory for public sector unions, who had campaigned for years to end these unfair provisions.
